Meek Mill has been trying to keep out of trouble, but unfortunately hasn’t been working hard enough.

Following his court appearance this afternoon, the Philadelphia rapper was sentenced to 2-4 years in prison after a violation of probation, in which he has been on since 2008 from a gun charge which resulted in him serving 8 months in prison.

Meek Mill appeared in court today for two violations stemming from a charge of reckless driving a motorcycle in New York City back in August, and an altercation at an airport in St. Louis, which involved two employees, back in March. Though both charges were dropped after the rapper fulfilled his community service requirements, Common Pleas Judge Genece Brinkley cited the rapper for failing a drug test and failure to comply with a court order restricting his travel.

The second charge may be in relation to his violation of probation back in 2015, where Meek was placed on house arrest after leaving the state of Pennsylvania without proper approval.

According to TMZ, the rapper was immediately remanded into custody.

More details will be announced.
