Back in January, popular entertainment podcaster Daryl “Taxstone” Campbell was denied $500,000 bail following his arrest in the alleged involvement in the Irving Plaza shooting that took place last May. Today, the New York Daily News reports that Tax has pleaded guilty to two federal weapons counts for his role in the shooting that left bodyguard, Ronald “Banga” McPhatter dead and three people including Brooklyn rapper Troy Ave wounded.

“While the Manhattan U.S. Attorney’s office did not charge Campbell, 31, with a federal murder charge, they told Judge Lorna Schofield he brought a firearm to Irving Plaza and “fired one shot that killed Ronald McPhatter” as well as additional shots during the confrontation.

Campbell faces up to 20 years in federal lockup.”
