03 Greedo Gets Prison Release Date & Drops New Album ‘Free 03’
Los Angeles rapper 03 Greedo is finally getting released.
According to the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, 03 Greedo, born Jason Jamal Jackson, is scheduled to be released on parole on Thursday, Jan. 12. Journalist Jeff Weiss confirmed his upcoming releasing on Sunday, Jan. 8.
“Out of respect for Greedo’s right to break the news however he wants to break it, I can’t officially confirm anything,” he wrote in a tweet. “But this Texas parole info is accurate. 03 should be coming home at some point this week. A 5-year nightmare finally coming to an end.”

Back in 2018, Jackson was sentenced to 20 years in prison after agreeing to a plea deal for gun and drug charges in Texas. He was initially was facing a 300-year sentence for first-degree possession of a controlled substance and third-degree unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon. The charges stem from 2016 where Jackson being pulled over on the highway by Potter County Sheriff deputies while in Texas. Police discovered four pounds of methamphetamine and two stolen pistols after conducting a search of his vehicle.

In celebration of his release, Jackson’s team dropped his new album Free 03 . In collaboration with producer Mike Free, the project consists features 13 tracks with contributions from the late Drakeo The Ruler, BlueBucksClan, OHGEESY and KenTheMan.
Free 03 serves as the follow-up to Greedo’s Load It Up Vol. 01 with RONRONTHEPRODUCER. The project featured guest appearances by Chief Keef, Key Glock, Sada Baby, Shordie Shordie, Rob Vicious and more.
