2016 XXL Freshman Cover
After numerous fake covers, XXL finally drops their long awaited 9th annual XXL Freshman cover. Set to hit stands June 28th, the cover features Oxnard, California’s Anderson .Paak; Atlanta’s 21 Savage; Pompano Beach, Florida’s Kodak Black; Philadelphia’s Lil Uzi Vert; Cheltenham Township, Pennsylvania’s Lil Dicky; Harlem’s Dave East; Carol City, Florida’s Denzel Curry; Brooklyn’s Desiigner; Chicago’s G Herbo and the 10th Spot winner, ATL’s Lil Yachty.
Throughout the next six weeks, XXL will be releasing a slew of freestyles, interviews, and cyphers in order for fans to get to know the artists. The collective will be performing at the XXL Freshman Show at the Playstation Theater in New York City June 28th and in Los Angeles July 25th.
