Today marks the 14th anniversary of 50 Cent‘s debut album, Get Rich or Die Trying. Going on to sell over 14 million copies worldwide with its lead singles, “Wanksta” and “In Da Club,” the project helped 50 Cent venture in the endorsement of his G-unit clothing line, films, and more which has made him the multi-million dollar businessman he is today.

In light of the album’s anniversary, 50’s eldest son, Marquise Jackson, decided to drop his debut single, “Different.” Set to appear on his forthcoming debut mixtape Escape, Jackson addresses the haters, dreams and what’s left of the relationship with his father using some inspiration from Dr. Dre’s “What’s The Difference” as well as Cormega’s “Fallen Soldiers.”

“Growing up, my dad was my superhero,” Marquise told Rap-Up. “It was like having a father who was Superman, more or less. But then, as I got older, you start realizing things or you start seeing certain patterns and it takes an effect on your relationship with people. That’s what happened with me and my father.”
