6ix9ine Faces Life In Prison

Tekashi 6ix9ine and three associates, including ex-manager, Kifano Jordan (“Shotti”) stood before a judge Monday (Nov. 19) after being arrested Sunday (Nov.18) on racketeering and firearm charges.

In a 17-page indictment, obtained by TMZ, 6ix9ine, real name Daniel Hernandez, is facing six counts, including the discharge of a firearm while committing a crime. If found guilty, Hernandez will have to serve a mandatory minimum of 25 years in prison, with the potential of a life sentence.

The ATF teamed up with Homeland Security Investigations and the New York City Police Department in the arrest of 6ix9ine and the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods members and have been reportedly working on this for months as they are accusing them of robbing gang rivals at gunpoint as well as dealing heroin, fentanyl, MDMA, and weed in Manhattan, Brooklyn, and the Bronx. A shooting also occurred at the Brooklyn’s Barclays Center with 6ix9ine’s associate Fuguan “Fu Banga” Lovick named as the shooter.

U.S. attorney Geoffrey S. Berman released the following statement:

As alleged in the indictment, this gang, which included platinum-selling rap artist Tekashi 6ix 9ine, wreaked havoc on New York City, engaging in brazen acts of violence. Showing reckless indifference to others’ safety, members of the gang were allegedly involved in robberies and shootings, including a shooting inside the crowded Barclay’s Center, and a shooting in which an innocent bystander was hit. Thanks to the extraordinary work of HSI, ATF, and the NYPD, the defendants will now face justice in federal court.

6ix9ine will remain in custody until a trial date has been announced.
