Cardi B Confirms Heated Audio With Ice Spice’s Manager Was Real, Demands Full 11-Minute Call Be Released miixtapechiick

Cardi B, who’s currently sitting at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with Am I The Drama?, found herself in the middle of new controversy this week after audio surfaced of her going off on Ice Spice — and yes, it’s real.

The now-viral recording, which has been confirmed to feature Cardi and Ice Spice’s manager James Rosemond Jr., captures the “Magnet” rapper allegedly snapping after a private phone call was recorded and leaked without her consent.

“I’mma show y’all, I’m not Latto,” Cardi is heard saying on the call. “I’mma beat her the fuck up. I’mma knock her the fuck out. All y’all. I’mma beat her ass. I’mma get Riot beat up by my n****s. Y’all gonna see what the fuck is up. Y’all think I’m fucking pussy ass Latto?”

She then repeatedly demands that Ice Spice be put on the line directly. “Put her on the phone right now,” Cardi says multiple times, while James — on the other end — keeps asking for clarification about what Ice Spice even said. The Bronx rapper doesn’t hold back, threatening to handle things the next time she sees her. “Any red carpet, any fucking show I see her, any fucking event. I’mma fucking beat her. I’mma go in that mouth. I told y’all before I don’t have a problem with her.”

In another part of the call, Cardi doubles down: “I’mma beat the shit outta her. I’m not like none of these rap bitches.”

While the exact timing of the conversation hasn’t been confirmed, there’s speculation it may have been recorded in July 2024, based on Cardi’s mention of an Empire State Building event Ice Spice attended that month.

Once the snippet hit the internet, Cardi took to X (formerly Twitter) to publicly address it. In a since-pinned post, she offered an apology — but not to Ice Spice. The Grammy-winner directed her words toward Latto, who she name-dropped during the call.

“I was ranting and hot at the moment but I f*ck with Latto HEAVY!!” Cardi wrote. “I respect everything about her including her team that’s so sweet.. AND NOPE! I’m not too prideful to apologize to somebody I really respect so this my public apology and now ima privately buy her a bag.”

Shortly after, Cardi demanded that the entire 11-minute call be released — not just the snippet floating around. “But wait James… cuz I just know you didn’t only record the beginning of that conversation,” she wrote. “Go ahead baby post the whole 11-minute convo when Ice Spice said she was in her feelings all because I said Sexyy deserved a BET Award and she had just won some iHeart award I wasn’t even thinking about… POST IT ALL!!! You came to bang right???”

James Rosemond Jr. responded by denying he leaked the call:

“I did not record or leak that call. You hear me on speaker w/ ur manager Tubby who called me with you on three-way & u can literally hear that in the clip. The audio didn’t come from me. I respect private conversations & I’m not in the business of leaking anything.”

Cardi wasn’t buying it.

“Your artist put a laughing emoji then leaked the convo then posted a trash ass clip of her song in less than an hour,” she fired back. “This why you been avoiding the CEO’s of 10k cause you know you did it and you sound like a bitch.”

She also addressed speculation about her tone and delivery in the clip, clarifying that she was alone when it happened:

“I was in my bedroom by myself.. I just sound more higher cuz not only was I louder but it was more echo because it’s bigger… everything louder in there.”

Latto and Ice Spice — the two names mentioned in Cardi’s rant — recently dropped their collab “Gyatt” earlier this month, seemingly squashing any past issues. Meanwhile, Cardi’s public apology to Latto appears to have landed well, but no response from Ice Spice has surfaced as of press time.

Rihanna Becomes First Female Artist to Surpass 200 Million RIAA Singles Certifications miixtapechiick

Rihanna has crossed 200 million RIAA singles certifications in the United States, becoming the first Black vocalist and first female artist in the organization’s 73-year history to reach the milestone. Her total now stands at 200.5 million.

Two certification updates on April 10 pushed her over the mark. “Unfaithful,” track three on her 2006 album A Girl Like Me, was certified 4x Platinum in celebration of the album’s 20th anniversary. Her 2005 single “If It’s Lovin That You Want,” the second single from her debut album Music of the Sun, also crossed the 1x Platinum threshold more than two decades after its release. Platinum status represents one million equivalent units in the United States, with the RIAA counting 150 on-demand streams as the equivalent of one digital purchase.

Among all artists, she ranks third behind Drake at 277.5 million and Morgan Wallen at 215 million.

Rihanna hasn’t released an album since Anti in 2016. Catalog staples like “Umbrella,” “We Found Love,” “Only Girl (In the World),” and “Don’t Stop the Music” continue to accumulate certifications without new music driving them. Outside of her Super Bowl halftime show in 2023 and contributions to the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever and Smurfs soundtracks, she has released no new solo music in nearly a decade.

As previously reported by miixtapechiick.com, Rihanna was spotted in the studio at 2 a.m. earlier this year and told Harper’s Bazaar in 2025 that she had “cracked the code” on the direction for her next project.

J. Cole Goes Scoreless in CBA Debut With Nanjing Monkey Kings miixtapechiick

J. Cole made his debut with the Nanjing Monkey Kings in the Chinese Basketball Association on Saturday night, finishing without a point in eight minutes off the bench as Nanjing lost 95-81 to the Guangzhou Loong Lions.

Cole went 0-for-5 from the field, with all five attempts coming from behind the three-point line. He finished with one rebound and one assist. Cole addressed the outing on his blog afterward, keeping it straightforward. “I got to play 8 minutes in one of the top leagues in the world, got a few good looks but wasn’t able to hit one,” he wrote. “A couple more games and maybe those shots would have started to fall! Either way I’m fulfilled and grateful! Sh*t, I feel like I dropped 20!!!”

He also explained why he only appeared in one game. “Initially I was scheduled to play in at least 3 games for the Nanjing Monkey Kings of the CBA. The work visa process took way longer than expected, so I was only able to play in one before heading back.”

Saturday’s game was Cole’s third time suiting up for a professional team. He played for the Rwanda Patriots in the Basketball Africa League in 2021 and the Scarborough Shooting Stars in Canada the following year.

Rihanna was spotted in Paris last week with her daughter Rocki Irish Mayers, marking one of the baby girl’s first public outings since her birth in September 2025. A$AP Rocky was also present, spending the day with their eldest son RZA. Their youngest son Riot did not appear in photos from the outing.

Rocki was dressed in a vintage Dior green-and-black John Galliano beanie from 2002, a gray pleated Dior dress layered over jeans and sneakers. Rihanna wore a Carhartt hat, a Prada striped polo shirt, and carried her “Dracula” Dior bag. Rocky and RZA were photographed walking hand in hand nearby, with RZA in a pink-striped tee and dark shades.

Rihanna announced Rocki’s birth on Instagram on September 24, 2025, posting a photo holding her newborn alongside pink silk baby boxing gloves. “Rocki Irish Mayers Sept 13 2025,” she captioned it. During the Smurfs premiere earlier this year, she spoke about her sons’ reaction to having a little sister. “I’ve always wanted a girl,” she said. “But God knows best, right? And I love my boys.”

Rihanna and Rocky welcomed RZA in May 2022, Riot Rose in 2023, and Rocki Irish in September 2025.
