Tory Lanez Maintains Innocence in First Interview From Prison miixtapechiick

Tory Lanez is speaking out for the first time on camera since his 2022 conviction for shooting Megan Thee Stallion, maintaining his innocence and claiming there’s new evidence that proves he didn’t do it.

In an exclusive interview with NBC News from California Men’s Colony—where he’s serving a 10-year sentence—Lanez pushed back against the perception that he’s violent. “I’ve never been violent towards a woman. I would never hit a woman, let alone shoot a woman,” he said. “There is definitely a very big misconception about me that seems to the public as [if] I’m this monster. I feel like I was catapulted into this poster child for the un-protection of Black women and it’s just so unlike me.”

He pointed to his clean criminal record before this case. “You can look at my criminal record. I don’t have one, I never had one,” he said. “And I feel like that connotation that I would do anything of this monstrous proportion is just completely incorrect, and it’s wrong.”

Lanez was convicted in December 2022 for shooting Megan in the foot after a party at Kylie Jenner‘s house in July 2020. He didn’t testify at trial, and now he says that was a mistake. “I think if I would’ve taken the stand, the verdict would’ve definitely been very different,” he said.

Now, his legal team is preparing another appeal, claiming prosecutors hid evidence. His attorney, Crystal Morgan, says they never received a Cedars-Sinai pathology report from the day Megan was treated. The report mentions a “foreign body” collected by hospital security but doesn’t say what it was. Morgan is questioning whether it was bullet fragments and why the defense never saw it. “That paper is missing from our official trial records,” Morgan said. “We could have pursued alternative theories.”

The issue came up during Megan’s recent civil lawsuit against blogger Milagro Cooper. Cooper’s attorney reviewed Megan’s medical records and reached out to Morgan about the missing document. The LA County District Attorney’s Office declined to comment, and Megan’s attorney didn’t respond.

Legal analyst Misty Marris told NBC these claims are tough to win. “Defendants must show the evidence would have changed the verdict,” she said. “That is difficult to prove.”

Last month, California’s appeals court upheld Lanez’s conviction. But his team is planning to petition the California Supreme Court and has asked Governor Gavin Newsom for clemency or a pardon.

Lanez also opened up about prison life. “I’ve been stabbed 17 times. I almost lost my life,” he said. “Mentally, I’ve gone through trauma that I sometimes even struggle with.”

Despite everything, he said he doesn’t hate Megan. “I would like that moment to happen in person,” he said. “We’ve both gone through a lot. There’s this connotation that I share this hatred for her. But I don’t. I’m genuinely past that. I’m at a place of healing in my life, I’m at a place of taking accountability for the things that I did wrong.”

He emphasized his appeal isn’t about attacking her. “When I talk about my case, I don’t want it to be taken as me coming at her. Because it’s not that. I’m just asking for somebody in the system to look at my case and look at the evidence and ask if this was fair.”

Megan has spoken publicly about how the shooting and trial affected her mental health. Lanez acknowledged he’s struggling too. “I’ve struggled mentally,” he said.

D. Woods Responds After Three Danity Kane Members Say June 20 LA Block Party Booking Was Made Without Their Consent miixtapechiick

D. Woods took to her Instagram Stories to address the controversy surrounding a June 20 Danity Kane appearance at the LA Block Party in Los Angeles, confirming she and Aundrea Fimbres plan to perform at the event. “5,4,3,2, & even 1 — there have been many versions and configurations of Danity Kane. But our fans have always been constant,” she wrote. “Drea & D. Woods thank you for ‘Holding Us Down’ and are looking forward to GOING UP at @lablockparty June 20th. Let’s start the summer off right and continue our 20th Anniversary with a celebration of the music we all love.”

As previously reported by miixtapechiick.com, Danity Kane’s official page issued a statement saying the booking was made by only two members without the knowledge or consent of Dawn Richard, Aubrey O’Day, or Shannon Bex. “This promotion constitutes false advertising and a misleading promotion, creating a false impression of full group participation,” the statement read. “Presenting a two-member lineup under the full Danity Kane name without clear and accurate disclosure results in deception of fans and a clear misrepresentation of what is being offered.”

The June 20 appearance is billed as part of the group’s 20th anniversary. Danity Kane’s Untold Chapter Tour, which ran from December 2025 through January 2026, also featured D. Woods and Fimbres alongside Aubrey O’Day, without Richard or Bex.

Dawn Richard, Aubrey O’Day, and Shannon Bex are calling out a flyer promoting Danity Kane at the LA Block Party at Pershing Square in Los Angeles on June 20, saying they were not informed about the appearance and will not be there.

A statement posted to Danity Kane’s official page confirmed that only two members independently booked the show without the others’ consent. “This promotion constitutes false advertising and a misleading promotion, creating a false impression of full group participation,” the statement read. “Presenting a two-member lineup under the full Danity Kane name without clear and accurate disclosure results in deception of fans and a clear misrepresentation of what is being offered.”

The flyer was posted by the danitykaneontour Instagram account, which wrote “Kicking off this summer with @lablockparty bringing yall back to 20 years ago!”

The situation comes amid an already divided chapter for the group. Danity Kane’s Untold Chapter Tour ran from December 9 through January 2026 and featured Aubrey O’Day, Aundrea Fimbres, and D. Woods, a lineup that did not include the full original group. Dawn Richard said she was not aware of the reunion, and Shannon Bex has been open about stepping away from music to focus on entrepreneurship. Woods, who had not performed with the group since her exit in 2008, addressed her return directly. “The Untold Chapter Starts Now. Ya Girl Is Back and rewriting OUR story,” she wrote.

Ice Spice and Woman Throw Hands at Hollywood McDonald's miixtapechiick

Ice Spice threw hands with a woman at a McDonald’s in Hollywood on Wednesday, April 15, and the whole thing was caught on camera.

In footage obtained by TMZ, Ice Spice was at the restaurant with a friend when a woman approached their table uninvited and tried to squeeze in next to them. When Ice Spice and her friend asked her to leave, the woman slapped her. A brief scuffle followed before the woman’s friend pulled her away.

It didn’t end there. A second clip filmed outside shows the woman throwing another punch at Ice Spice while the group was crossing the street, leading to another scuffle. Video also shows Ice Spice picking up a phone from the ground belonging to someone in the other group, which she allegedly smashed.

The woman, identified as Vayah, gave her own account, claiming Ice Spice was rude when she approached to show support and that she slapped her after being called a “bitch.”

Ice Spice’s attorney Bradford Cohen said the incident has been reported to the LAPD. “The unprovoked attack on my client has been reported to the LAPD and we will be pursuing any and all avenues to hold the perpetrators responsible for their actions, including criminally and civilly,” Cohen said. “We are also exploring holding the location responsible for their lack of appropriate security.”

As previously reported by miixtapechiick.com, Ice Spice is currently being sued by a New York wig maker over an unpaid $20,000 order for her 2024 Y2K tour.
