It’s been almost a year since we’ve heard from Isaiah Rashad.

Since dropping his 2016 debut project, “The Sun’s Tirade,” it’s been pretty quiet for the Top Dawg Entertainment artist. Last year, the rapper returned on the music scene with “Why Worry” since heading on the 2016 tour, “The Sunny Tour.”

Reemerging with the Hollywood Cole-produced track, “Lay Wit Ya” back in May, this reportedly began the long-awaited TDE takeover that fans had been waiting for.

Now at the end of July, Rashad returns with his sophomore effort, “The House Is Burning” and intends to release music more often.

“Hopefully this is the start of something new—no more five-year gaps,” Rashad told Apple Music.

Treating fans to 16 tracks, Rahad taps on the services of Jay Rock, Smino, 6LACK, SZA, Lil Uzi Vert and others.

“I tried to hone in on the energy of all the types of music I grew up listening to—Texas bounce, Louisiana bounce, a little bit of neo-soul in there,” he says.
