After releasing the album’s lead single, “Black Savage” featuring T.I., Sy Ari Da Kid, White Gold and CyHi The Prynce, Detroit rapper Royce Da 5’9 returns with the release of his eighth studio album, The Allegory.
Serving as a follow-up to Book of Ryan, the 22- track project features additional contributions from Cedric The Entertainer, Westside Gunn, DJ Premier, Grafh, Crooked I and Vince Staples.
“This is the first album that has ever happened to me,” Royce told the Metro Times. “After Book of Ryan, I didn’t have anything that I really just needed to say. I would come in here and watch TV, play around, it happened really organically … There wasn’t any pressure with this album. It was just me, in here, by myself … talking to myself.”
