Back in April, ASAP Rocky was arrested at LAX after returning to the states via a private jet, following his vacation with Rihanna in Barbados. The arrest stemmed from “an argument between two acquaintances” that escalated and resulted in “the suspect firing a handgun at the victim,” according to the LAPD.

This week, details surrounding the incident have been made public and it has now been reported that it was former A$AP Mob member, A$AP Relli, born Terell Ephron, who was the victim in this case. Out on bail, ASAP Rocky, born Rakim Mayers, has now been charged with two counts of assault with a semiautomatic firearm. The Harlem native is expected to be arraigned in court on Wednesday, August 17.

“Discharging a gun in a public place is a serious offense that could have ended with tragic consequences not only for the person targeted but also for innocent bystanders visiting Hollywood,” said Dist. Atty. George Gascón. “My office conducted a thorough review of the evidence in this case and determined that the addition of a special firearm allegation was warranted.”
