Twenty88 (Big Sean & Jhene Aiko) Cover Flaunt Magazine

Earlier this week, frequent collaborators Big Sean and Jhene Aiko announced that they would be releasing a collaborative project, Twenty88, on April 1st. In efforts to promote the project, both artists have released trailers and have created a separate social media account in support of the album on Twitter and Instagram.
Following the announcement, the two have come together once more to grace the cover of Flaunt magazine. In the cover story, the LA song bird and Detroit lyricist revealed that the project is focused on the journey of a relationship.
The whole idea of the man and woman duet. Especially a whole project, is just good for people to see. That duality is a perfect combination.
Set to release via Def Jam, the album also mixes neo-soul, ambient beats, and trap drums courtesy of producers like Da Internz.

Nicki Minaj Talks New Album, Sacrifice & Still Being Hungry in Vogue Italia Interview
Nicki Minaj is taking her time. In a new cover story with Vogue Italia, the rap icon gave an update on her next album, sharing that she’s sitting on “a bunch of really strong tracks” but isn’t in a rush to release them.
“I want the record to mean something, both for the fans and for me,” she said. “I’ll never be one of those people who puts out songs just to put them out. I love music. I respect it.”
While there’s no word yet on a release date or features, Nicki did name a few rising artists she’s currently tapped into. “Sabrina Carpenter… a breath of fresh air,” she said. “I like Billie Eilish. I love everything she does. Then there’s a dancehall artist… his name’s Skeng.”
In addition to music, Nicki also reflected on what she’s sacrificed to reach this level of success. “As a woman, I put off becoming a mother,” she shared. “I didn’t go to every Thanksgiving, Christmas, or birthday party because I had to work to support my family.” She added that while she’s now able to give her son a life she didn’t have, she still grapples with choices like whether to take him outside at the risk of being photographed.
The Pink Friday 2 artist, who recently launched her own label and has ventured into everything from fashion collabs to perfume, says she still feels the same drive she did as a kid. “I had to earn everything. I had nothing and I wanted it more than the others,” she said.
And while she acknowledges the industry has shifted with the rise of social media and overnight fame, Nicki is staying focused. “A superstar is a superstar,” she said. “And if you are, you’ll find a way to shine—with or without social media.”

Vogue gave us an exclusive behind the scenes look of what went on when shooting the magazine’s cover and photoshoot. Throughout the video we get a sneak peek of Beyoncé’s twins Rumi and Sir Carter, as well as their big sister, Blue Ivy.
