Dende Signs to Def Jam, Releases New Song ‘The Louvre’
Rising R&B artist Dende has officially signed with Def Jam Recordings, marking a major milestone in his career. To celebrate the announcement, the Texas native dropped his new single, “The Louvre,” featuring Swedish singer LUCIIA.
“I’m honestly just excited for the opportunity to showcase our talents on a bigger scale than ever before,” Dende told Billboard. “Signing with Def Jam under Tunji does just that. I’m ready for everyone to understand that Dende and my producer, Billy Blunt, are here to stay.”
“The Louvre” dives deep into the idea of creative inspiration—or the lack of it. “A muse is someone who brings inspiration to an artist,” Dende explained. “Our single ‘The Louvre’ is about feeling like you have no inspiration, no creativity, just going through the motions—and then finding that spark in someone else.”
Dende also spoke about collaborating with LUCIIA. “She and I connected in Def Jam’s studio in LA to create one of my favorite songs I’ve made in a long time. It’s truly a masterpiece.”
Produced by his longtime collaborator Billy Blunt alongside Maleík and DAB, “The Louvre” follows Dende’s 2024 EP, Wish You Were Here, which was inspired by his trip to London. With this new chapter under Def Jam, Dende’s star is only set to rise further.
As previously reported by miixtapechiick.com, Queen Naija announced her engagement to Clarence White earlier this week. Today she made it official through music, releasing “Ring” via Motown Records.
“I had a while to really bask in my moment and now I’m ready to share it with the ones who have truly been here since the beginning to see it all unfold,” Queen said. “I’m so happy to be able to use music to express myself about my real life.”
“Ring” marks her first release since her EP 30. and arrives with early traction already built — the record generated over 1.3 million views and 200,000 likes across her native posts before release, and has sparked over 135 TikTok creations surpassing 2 million views.
After revealing the cover art earlier this week, JT returns with her new single “Numb.” Produced by Danes Blood, Ben10K, Chicken, and BAMBII, a limited signed 7-inch vinyl of the single is available for pre-order now exclusively at thegirljtworld.com.
“I ain’t never been a fake b*tch ever / I can never hang with a lame b*tch never,” she raps on the track.
The release comes off her surprise appearance at Coachella last weekend. JT appeared during Little Simz‘s set to debut their collaboration “Game On,” served as DJ and creative director for a Numb-inspired activation at the Do LaB stage, and hosted an afterparty at the Red Bull Mirage.
“Numb” follows “Girls Gone Wild,” released in November 2025, and her 2024 mixtape City Cinderella, which debuted in the Top 5 on Billboard’s R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart.
Chicago rapper Glizzy Glow and Atlanta rapper BunnaB have joined forces to release Glow’s latest single, “The Breakup Song,” accompanied by a music video directed by Blue Visionz.
Produced by Thankutimmy and Ki Cooked It, the track finds both artists taking aim at their exes. “Why would I be with you? …He put his chain around my neck, and they wonder why I’m cold / Every time we post a picture, all the b*****s yelling goals,” Glizzy Glow raps on her verse.
“The Breakup Song” follows “CUTWATER,” the 2025 single that put the Englewood, Chicago rapper on the national radar, accumulating 15 million views across platforms and 2.4 million on YouTube.
