Ella Mai’s executive producer and 10 Summers’ CEO, Mustard, took to social media an official statement about the situation. Mustard says there is no hostility or bad blood towards Jacquees, however, he does not approve about the tactics he’s been pulling to have monetary gain over Ella Mai’s record.

Mustard on Twitter: “I’m not going to blogs or any media outlets to address this Jacquees situation ima address it right here and after this we will never address anything like this again I’m just tired of people picking on @ellamai ! / Twitter”

Just a few weeks back, Jacquees released a remix to Ella Mai’s lead single, “Trip” off her forthcoming self-titled album. However, the record has since been taken down from Jacquees’ Soundcloud and Youtube pages after garnering up to 3 million listens, and fans wanted to know why.

Despite the ‘Quemix‘ being taken down, Jacquees still has love for the 10 Summers songstress.

“We love Ella and are cool with her team as well. He has been releasing not only “Quemix” songs but entire projects with remixes of other artists’ songs ranging back to 2013,” Jacquees tells Billboard. “This was an act of genuine support and should not turn into negativity for either of the artist or from their supporters. There is still hope for the song as an official remix or maybe fans will get something better that is an original collaboration.”

T-Pain chimed in about artists monetizing off other people’s records on Twitter and Jacquees later responded.
