Dolce & Gabbana Create A Line of Embellished Hijabs & Arayas

Published

on

All we can say here at miixtapechiick is “it’s about time”! It is so refreshing to announce that a high fashion brand has took the time out to create modest hijabs and abayas with a classic D&G touch! The new hijabs and abayas are styled alongside Dolce & Gabbana delicate cocktail jewelry, fun over-sized sunglasses, and beautiful patterned bags with exclusive details.

There are a lot of well known fashion bloggers who wear hijabs and abayas on the regular, but their headpieces are usually custom made. This is because a lot of fashion labels rarely really cater to creating hijabs and abayas. Not only is this wrong and discriminatory, but to make matters worse, there is never any wide-scale conversation as to why. One of our favorite Hijab/araya Muslim bloggers and designer is Basma.K on Instagram.

Basma K Collection is:

a small independent hijab/ scarf boutique run by Basma.K , and her super friendly sisters. Basma K Collection sells the best scarves, hijab, accessories” – Basma K.

Check out the designer herself below:

Items on her site include cute bags, and plain, patterned, or two-toned scarfs!

Please check out the photos below from Vogue Magazine that capture the true beauty and diversity of hijabs and abayas! This is great news people.

Skilla Baby Drops The Coldest (Deluxe) miixtapechiick

Earlier this year, Skilla Baby released his 16-track project, “The Coldest,” via Geffen, featuring collaborations with Polo G, Flo Milli, Moneybagg Yo, G Herbo, DaBaby, Rob49, Mozzy, NoCap, Jeremih, and Tay B.

The Detroit native has now returned with the official deluxe version, which includes additional tracks such as “Soulja Slimm” featuring Rob49, “Bobby Trap on The River,” and “Body Bangin’,” among others. The deluxe edition also features contributions from Bossman DLow, Baby Money, and Southside.

“I took my time to put this project together… Sometimes, I feel like people try to place me in a box. The pressure of being a new artist, being successful, staying disciplined, and still clocking into the studio is very strenuous but fun at the same time,” Skilla shared during the album’s initial press release. “As an artist, I’m known as the ‘girl’s guy,’ but I’ll never forget I come from the streets. As a real person, I feel so many emotions: mad, sad, happy, anxious, etc. I say that to say sorry for the wait, but I wanted to put everything I feel into one project. Grab your coats…,” he continued.

The deluxe version of “The Coldest” follows Skilla Baby’s joint tour with Rob49, “Vultures Eat The Most Tour.”

Tory Lanez Begins 'Prison Tapes' Series miixtapechiick

Despite serving a ten-year sentence for the shooting incident involving Megan Thee Stallion, Tory Lanez is bringing fans new music from behind prison walls with his latest series, “Prison Tapes,” announced on Wednesday, July 24.

“After about 20-something to 30-something fuck-ups and mistakes, me and my engineer have finally figure out how to record music over the jail phone and still keep the quality as professional as I had it on the street,” he said in a recorded call posted on Instagram. “It’s over. I done cracked the fucking code, man. This means that not even these prison walls can stop me from dropping new music. It’s crazy!”

The Toronto native kicks off the series with the tracks “Cell 245” and “Wish I Never Met You.”
