Eminem Makes History Again; Marking 8th Number One Album
Releasing his album just one week ago (Dec. 15th), Eminem has made history again with his ninth studio album, Revival. Taking the number spot on the Billboard 200 album charts this week, this marks the Detroit rapper’s eighth consecutive chart entry to enter the No. 1 spot.
Previous no. 1 albums: The Marshall Mathers LP (2013), Recovery (2010), Relapse (2009), the best-of set Curtain Call: The Hits (2005), Encore (2004), The Eminem Show (2002) and The Marshall Mathers LP (2000)
The project sold 267,000 units in it’s opening week, according to Nielsen Music. Out of the 267,000 album units sold, 197,000 units of that total were traditional album sales.
