Hip-Hop Manager & Cinematic Music Group Exec. Hovain Hylton Dies Suddenly
Popular Hip-Hop Manager, Jonathan “Hovain” Hylton, suddenly passed away on Friday, November 28.
The tragic news was reported by Hylton’s family on his social media accounts. His cause of death was not enclosed.
Hylton was the manager of Young Guru, Styles P and Lloyd Banks; and served as the president of management at Cinematic Music Group. He was also a part time professor at Kingsborough Community College in Brooklyn where he taught “The Business of Music,” an eight-week course that taught students about publishing deals and business positions needed for an artist’s success.
“I have no words. I loved this man. He was more than my manager he was my brother,” said Young Guru. “I swear this is too much. RIP my brother [six broken heart emojis] @hovain you were special.”
