MIIXTAPECHIICK EXCLUSIVE: HSM’s Hamma Thang Found Not Guilty on Murder Charges

Back in June of 2020, Hamma Thang, 7981 Kal and G Fredo were among the 31 individuals of the alleged street gang, NOB ( an abbreviation for Norton, Olney and Barry streets in Dorchester, MA.), arrested on numerous charges, including racketeering conspiracy (RICO), violent crimes in aid of racketeering, drug trafficking, firearms charges and more.

Hamma Thang, born Samael Mathieu, was charged with RICO conspiracy and conspiracy to distribute controlled substances. That following December, the rapper was also charged with murder, illegal possession of a firearm, carrying a loaded firearm and discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a dwelling.

According to The Enterprise, “The direct indictment, which means Mathieu was never arrested in connection with the incident or charged in district court, stems from an April 7, 2018, shooting in the city that claimed the life of 24-year-old Kelby Ramos.”

Hamma Thang’s manager, Chris, exclusively told miixtapechiick.com that “he’ll be home hopefully this year after his RICO sentence is up!”

Back in November, Hamma Thang’s team dropped his debut project, Fully Loaded.

In June 2022, Hamma Thang, 7981 Kal and G Fredo were among the nine individuals who pleaded guilty to RICO conspiracy, conspiracy to distribute controlled substances, and possession with intent to distribute controlled substances. Kal & Fredo are scheduled to be sentenced later this month.

According to the Department of Justice, “the charges of RICO conspiracy and committing violent crimes in aid of racketeering each provide for a sentence of up to 20 years in prison, three years of supervised release and a fine of $250,000; charges of conspiracy to distribute controlled substances and possession with intent to distribute controlled substances each provide for a sentence of up to 20 years in prison, three years of supervised release and a fine of $1 million.”
