Long-time Dreamville affiliates EarthGang have finally signed the dotted line and inked a deal with J. Cole‘s Dreamville label.

Signing J.I.D. earlier this year, J. Cole has officially added Atlanta rap duo EarthGang to his Dreamville roster. The duo, alongside J.I.D. (who were known as a musical collective called, ‘Spillage Village’), had established a relationship with Cole back in 2015, where they received much praise from the Roc Nation rapper, viewing them as ‘relatable.’

When n*ggas think about Atlanta, they think about super trap shit. They think about Future, which Future is the God right now in that world and in that lane, but them kids you seen at that show tonight, them 3,000 kids and then there was thousands more that didn’t make it in, they actually relate more to y’all.

I mean y’all always capturing the side, cause y’all from here. But to an outsider, to me – a nigga that’s not from here – just a hip hop fan, I’m like, “If these niggas only knew.”

These records right here is really painting that picture and giving that vibe. I hear them shits and I’m like, ‘Damn.’ When you talk about an album that’s gonna impact, I’m hearing more them records. That’s what my heart is telling me when I hear y’all shit. I’m like, ‘Damn, these ni**as can really do it.’

The conversation ended with Cole lending a helping hand stating if they ever needed help, to just call him.

Two years later and all three individuals have been officially signed to the Dreamville roster. EarthGang will be releasing their first EP under the Dreamville imprint titled, RAGS on September 1st.
