Earlier this week, Kanye West took to Instagram that he would be releasing the second installment to his 2021-project, DONDA. Amid his back and forth with estranged wife Kim Kardashian, the Chicago native will be bringing in the project with a live listening event at the Loan Depot Park Stadium in Miami on Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2022.

However, there is a catch. West took to social media that the highly-anticipated project would be available on any streaming platform. Instead, he will be releasing DONDA II on his new platform, Stem Player and fans will have to pay up to $150 to listen to the project. This of course has led Kanye to be met with a lot of backlash, but it doesn’t seem like he’s backing down.

“We did it! [It doesn’t] matter what happens [tomorrow] This happened tonight. For the first time in a long time, I feel alive. We did it, kid. We did [it], lord! Lift me up! Things change. Let’s keep it burning,” he wrote on Instagram after sharing how the project would be released.

Last week, Ye appeared alongside Alicia Keys and Fivio Foreign on “City of Gods.”
