Just when we thought the idea of Kanye West running for the presidency in 2020 seemed almost realisitic, the Chicago rapper backtracked completely.
During his Saint Pablo Tour stop in San Jose last night, Yeezy shocked fans when addressing his views on the recent election.
“I told y’all I didn’t vote, right?”, he began to say before ruffling the audience’s feathers. “If I would have voted, I would have voted for Trump.”
The audience responded with boos immediately.
Later on in the show, Mr
West continued his political rant:
“Specifically to black people, stop focusing on racism,” Kanye said. “This world is racist, OK? Let’s stop being distracted to focus on that as much. It’s just a f**king fact: we are in a racist country. Period. Do not allow people to make us talk about that so f**king long.”
For someone who said, “George Bush doesn’t care about black people,” Kanye West sure has changed.
