Last week, Kanye West announced he would finally be releasing his collaborative project with Ty Dolla $ign, titled “Vultures.” Despite teasing the album at various pop-up locations, the anticipated release date of December 15 was regrettably deferred to New Year’s Eve due to pending clearing issues.

This development surfaced following Nicki Minaj‘s decision not to clear her verse for the track “New Body,” asserting, “Now regarding Kanye, that train has left the station, OK?” in light of her recent album release. Kanye responded to Minaj’s stance during a Vultures listening party in Las Vegas, revealing, “I made that girl rewrite her verse three times for ‘Monster.’ I supported her career.”

Adding to the complexity, it was disclosed that the Backstreet Boys declined clearance for West’s “Everybody” record, which samples their 1999 hit “Backstreet Back.”

Undeterred by these challenges, Kanye West, through his representatives, has chosen to reschedule the project once more, with the new release date now set for January 12, as confirmed by sources to Billboard.
