Earlier this month, Kendrick Lamar revealed via his website oklama.com that he would be returning with his final album on Top Dawg Entertainment (TDE) album Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers on May 13th.
As fans await the highly anticipated project, Kendrick makes his official return with the release of ‘The Heart Part 5.’ You may remember back in 2017, Kendrick dropped “The Heart Part 4” right before the release of his fourth studio album, DAMN.
In the music video, Kendrick Lamar thanks fans for rocking with him in the introduction before his face is seen morphed into numerous individuals including O.J. Simpson, Kanye West, Jussie Smollett, Kobe Bryant, Will Smith and Nipsey Hussle.
“The Heart Part 5” is a follow-up to his contribution to the official soundtrack for the 2018 theatrical film, Black Panther.

New Singles: DaniLeigh Releases ‘Dead To Me’
“It’s over, buried, our love is gone
I ain’t breaking no more dishes ’bout it
You ain’t gotta call to see about me
Already know what I feel about you
‘Cause you so dead“
In a 22-minute sit-down with radio personality Angie Martinez, DaniLeigh confirmed the completion of a 7-song EP called ‘My Side,’ thus making ‘DTM‘ the lead single. As the title suggests, it will be a tell-all from her own perspective. Although she started the project while things were still fresh, it was still a part of that cathartic, thus therapeutic process that she needed not only for her own peace of mind but also for the sake of her precious baby girl.
During the interview, the South Florida native also detailed that infamous night on IG live. She made note of all the compassion afforded to her by many viewers including Karreuche, Summer Walker, BIA, and more.
On a lighter note, the singer spoke about her career as a dancer for plenty of amazing talents like — Jeremiah, Meghan Trainor, Keyshia Cole, Miguel, Pharell, Missy Elliot and Pitbull. Now, she’s ecstatic to lean deeper into choreography and is excited to unveil it all!

Kendrick Lamar Releases New Album ‘Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers’
Earlier this year, Kendrick Lamar resurfaced, performing at the Super Bowl LVI halftime show alongside Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, 50 Cent and Mary J. Blige at SoFi Stadium.
The performance took place just six months after it was announced that Compton native would be dropping his final album on Top Dawg Entertainment (TDE). In an open letter from the rapper’s oklama.com website, the DAMN. rapper began his letter with: “I spend most of my days with fleeting thoughts. Writing. Listening. And collecting old Beach cruisers.”
“As I produce my final TDE album, I feel joy to have been a part of such a cultural imprint after 17 years” it reads. “The Struggles. The Success. And most importantly, the Brotherhood. May the Most High continue to use Top Dawg as a vessel for candid creators. As I continue to pursue my life’s calling”.
Kendrick ends the letter with “There’s beauty in completion. And always faith in the unknown. Thank you for keeping me in your thoughts. I’ve prayed for you all.”
Fast forward to earlier this month, Kendrick released a press release under his pgLang imprint with the announcement that his third studio album, Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers, would be dropping on May 13.
