Kid Cudi Testifies in Diddy Trial, Recalls Alleged Break-In, Car Fire, and Cassie Relationship
Kid Cudi broke his silence Thursday (May 22) as he took the stand in the federal criminal trial against Sean “Diddy” Combs, offering detailed testimony about his 2011 relationship with Cassie Ventura and a series of alleged threats and retaliation by the music mogul.
Cudi, whose real name is Scott Mescudi, testified that he and Cassie briefly dated in 2011 while she was going through issues with Combs. According to Cudi, the relationship didn’t last long — but what followed left a lasting impact.
During his testimony, the Cleveland native alleged that Combs found out about their relationship and became enraged. Cassie reportedly called Cudi around 5:30 or 6 a.m. “She was very stressed and worried,” he said. “She told me he found out about us and asked me to pick her up.” The two went to the Sunset Marquis Hotel “to lay low.”
Later that morning, Cudi received a call from Capricorn Clark, who was in tears, claiming Combs was outside Cudi’s house. When Cudi returned home, he noticed that the security cameras had been moved and weren’t working. Inside, he found open gifts, items from Chanel disturbed, and his dog locked in the bathroom.
He also testified that his dog, typically free to roam, seemed “jittery and on edge all the time” after the alleged break-in.
Not long after that incident, Cudi said he received another call — this time from his dog-sitter — telling him his Porsche was on fire. He testified the car had been destroyed by a Molotov cocktail, and photos of the damage were shown in court. Cudi stated plainly: “It was intentional.”
When asked about his reaction, Cudi responded: “What the f**k.”
Cudi also detailed a meeting with Combs at Soho House following the alleged retaliation. “He was standing there like a Marvel supervillain,” he said, drawing laughter in the courtroom. According to Cudi, the two discussed the situation, and Combs denied involvement in the car fire. “He said, ‘I don’t know what you’re talking about,’” Cudi told the jury.

Years later, Cudi said the two ran into each other again at the same location, where Combs allegedly apologized: “I’m just sorry for all that bulls**t.” Cudi said he accepted the apology and made peace with it.
During cross-examination, Diddy’s attorney questioned Cudi’s memory and challenged the timeline, even suggesting the DNA found on the scene belonged to a woman. Cudi said he had no knowledge of DNA results and maintained that Cassie had confided in him about abuse — but not sexual abuse — during their relationship.
“I knew Sean Combs was violent,” Cudi said, adding that he eventually ended things with Cassie because the situation had become unsafe. “It was getting out of hand. For her safety and mine, I wanted to give her space.”
After stepping down from the stand, Cudi addressed the moment on social media:
“This is a stressful situation. I’m glad it’s behind me.”

The trial, which entered its second week, has already included high-profile testimony from Cassie, her mother Regina Ventura, Dawn Richard, and others. Cudi’s testimony added another layer to the government’s case, which centers on allegations of abuse, racketeering, and intimidation surrounding Sean Combs.
Combs has denied all allegations and has not yet taken the stand. The trial continues.

D. Woods Responds After Three Danity Kane Members Say June 20 LA Block Party Booking Was Made Without Their Consent
D. Woods took to her Instagram Stories to address the controversy surrounding a June 20 Danity Kane appearance at the LA Block Party in Los Angeles, confirming she and Aundrea Fimbres plan to perform at the event. “5,4,3,2, & even 1 — there have been many versions and configurations of Danity Kane. But our fans have always been constant,” she wrote. “Drea & D. Woods thank you for ‘Holding Us Down’ and are looking forward to GOING UP at @lablockparty June 20th. Let’s start the summer off right and continue our 20th Anniversary with a celebration of the music we all love.”
As previously reported by miixtapechiick.com, Danity Kane’s official page issued a statement saying the booking was made by only two members without the knowledge or consent of Dawn Richard, Aubrey O’Day, or Shannon Bex. “This promotion constitutes false advertising and a misleading promotion, creating a false impression of full group participation,” the statement read. “Presenting a two-member lineup under the full Danity Kane name without clear and accurate disclosure results in deception of fans and a clear misrepresentation of what is being offered.”
The June 20 appearance is billed as part of the group’s 20th anniversary. Danity Kane’s Untold Chapter Tour, which ran from December 2025 through January 2026, also featured D. Woods and Fimbres alongside Aubrey O’Day, without Richard or Bex.

Three Members of Danity Kane Say Two Others Booked a June 20 Show Without Their Knowledge
Dawn Richard, Aubrey O’Day, and Shannon Bex are calling out a flyer promoting Danity Kane at the LA Block Party at Pershing Square in Los Angeles on June 20, saying they were not informed about the appearance and will not be there.
A statement posted to Danity Kane’s official page confirmed that only two members independently booked the show without the others’ consent. “This promotion constitutes false advertising and a misleading promotion, creating a false impression of full group participation,” the statement read. “Presenting a two-member lineup under the full Danity Kane name without clear and accurate disclosure results in deception of fans and a clear misrepresentation of what is being offered.”

The flyer was posted by the danitykaneontour Instagram account, which wrote “Kicking off this summer with @lablockparty bringing yall back to 20 years ago!”
The situation comes amid an already divided chapter for the group. Danity Kane’s Untold Chapter Tour ran from December 9 through January 2026 and featured Aubrey O’Day, Aundrea Fimbres, and D. Woods, a lineup that did not include the full original group. Dawn Richard said she was not aware of the reunion, and Shannon Bex has been open about stepping away from music to focus on entrepreneurship. Woods, who had not performed with the group since her exit in 2008, addressed her return directly. “The Untold Chapter Starts Now. Ya Girl Is Back and rewriting OUR story,” she wrote.

It didn’t end there. A second clip filmed outside shows the woman throwing another punch at Ice Spice while the group was crossing the street, leading to another scuffle. Video also shows Ice Spice picking up a phone from the ground belonging to someone in the other group, which she allegedly smashed.
The woman, identified as Vayah, gave her own account, claiming Ice Spice was rude when she approached to show support and that she slapped her after being called a “bitch.”
Ice Spice’s attorney Bradford Cohen said the incident has been reported to the LAPD. “The unprovoked attack on my client has been reported to the LAPD and we will be pursuing any and all avenues to hold the perpetrators responsible for their actions, including criminally and civilly,” Cohen said. “We are also exploring holding the location responsible for their lack of appropriate security.”
As previously reported by miixtapechiick.com, Ice Spice is currently being sued by a New York wig maker over an unpaid $20,000 order for her 2024 Y2K tour.
