Earlier this year, Kodak Black was arrested while on Instagram Live after authorities executed a search warrant at his Florida home. Arrested on seven felony counts of grand theft of a firearm, possession of a weapon by a convicted felon, possession of marijuana, and child neglect, the charges were later reduced after prosecutors dropped the charges of child neglect and grand theft of a firearm, one month after the “Tunnel Vision” rapper’s arrest.

Kodak Black also pleaded not guilty to possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and marijuana possession.

Serving seven months of a year sentence, Kodak Black was released early Saturday morning from the Broward County jail. During his time incarcerated, Kodak Black earned his General Equivalency Diploma (GED) and has legally changed his name from Dieuson Octave to Bill K. Kapri.
