Following being arrested in China for allegedly shoplifting at a Louis Vuitton store, UCLA’s LiAngelo Ball has been suspended indefinitely from the university’s basketball team, alongside his teammates, Cody Riley and Jalen Hill.
According to UCLA coach Steve Alford, the university will be conducting a thorough investigation, and have exempted the students from practice, traveling with the team, or suit up for road games during the university’s review.

LiAngelo Ball spoke about his actions during the incident in China:

“I didn’t exercise my best judgment and I’m sorry for that. This does not define who I am. My family raised me better than that. I’d also like to thank President Trump and the United States government for the help that they provided as well.”
