Lizzo Rings in a New Season of Joy With ‘About Damn Time’
Lizzo just dropped her latest record ‘About Damn Time!’
It’s definitely a timeless bop! With a 70’s disco feel, ‘About Damn Time’ is definitely the type of song you play on the way to the beach with friends. It’s a feel-good track that’s right on cue for Summer ’22.
“It’s bad b-tch o’clock, yeah, it’s thick-thirty
I’ve been through a lot, but I’m still flirty (Okay)
Is everybody back up in the buildin’?
It’s been a minute, tell me how you’re healin’
‘Cause I’m about to get into my feelings
How you feelin’? How you feel right now?”
Lizzo reminds us that she’s not the girl she used to be. This time around, she’s up and ready for a new chapter.
“’Cause I give a f-ck way too much
I’ma need like two shots in my cup”
Don’t forget to watch the music video for this single which is already hitting 5 million views on Youtube!
The video is kicked off with a brief skit about a “Stressed & Sexy” support group. From sweats and slick back buns to bling and 70’s bumps, Lizzo’s animation brings the whole production together!
Per her Instagram account, it seems like Lizzo’s album is underway! Stay tuned for this special release on July 15th!

Kendrick Lamar Responds to Super Bowl Discourse with New Track
Earlier this week, Roc Nation, Apple Music, and the NFL announced that Kendrick Lamar will headline the 2025 Apple Music Super Bowl LIX Halftime Show. Since the announcement, there has been significant online discourse, particularly around the idea that Lil Wayne, a New Orleans native, should have been selected for the performance since the event will be held in his hometown.
Birdman weighed in on the debate with a post on X, saying, “These n-ggaz Pussi @NICKIMINAJ @Drake @LilTunechi YMCMB. I’m make these n-ggaz respek us on Gladys.”

Nicki Minaj also expressed her frustration over Lil Wayne not being chosen to perform. “Denying a young black man what he rightfully put into this game for no other reason but your ego,” the Pink Friday rapper wrote. “Your hatred for BIRDMAN, Drake & Nicki got you punishing Lil Wayne?!?!!! LIL WAYNE!!!!!!!!!! THE GOAT?!!!!!!!!!!! Nola what’s good?!!!!!! Eminem stood firm on having 50Cent come out.” She further added, “One n-gga took a knee, the other n-gga took the bag. He gon get you ‘n*ggers’ in line every fkng time.”
God will punish you. Mark my words.
