Mac Miller Passes Away of Overdose At 26
It’s always hard when the music community loses someone that had the potential to change the world. According to TMZ, it has been confirmed that Mac Miller has passed away at his San Fernando Valley home in Los Angeles. Confirmed by law enforcement, the 26-year-old rapper reportedly suffered from an overdose and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Mac Miller had just released his new album Swimming last month. He was scheduled to go on tour in October.
Recently interviewed by Vulture, the Pittsburgh native opened up about being in a dark place:
“I used to rap super openly about really dark shit because that’s what I was experiencing at the time. That’s fine, that’s good, that’s life. It should be all the emotions.”
