Macklemore Freestyles Over Jay-Z’s ‘Lucifer’ for Funk Flex

With his upcoming Gemini album dropping September 22nd, Macklemore has tapped on the services of Lil’ Yachty, Offset of Migos, Kesha and Skylar Grey for the 13-track effort that will be accompanied by a tour kicking off October 5th. As he began his press run for the album in New York earlier today, the Seattle native made his way to Hot 97 to sit down with legendary DJ Funk Flex and you know you can’t leave without blessing the mic.

For the 73rd episode, Macklemore kicked some bars over Jay-Z’s Black Album-LP cut, “Lucifer.”

Do you think he did the instrumental justice? Watch Macklemore’s freestyle above and tell us what you think!
