Mariah the Scientist Releases New Album ‘To Be Eaten Alive’

“Scorpions, like myself, are considered non-social and solitary animals. Interacting only on rare occasion, such as courtship,” said Mariah about the album’s artwork. “For the grand and notable lion, the scorpion seems to be a small feat. They are an unpredictable match and yet they establish a mutual respect for each other’s curious differences.”

Since Mariah the Scientist‘s release of “Buckles Laboratories Presents: The Intermission,” her journey to stardom has been a remarkable ascent. The Atlanta-based songstress catapulted to viral fame last year, courtesy of her single “Spread Thin,” which garnered a staggering 70 million plays on Spotify and became a sensation with 95k TikTok users creating content to the record. Adding to her triumph, she embarked on a solo tour before joining forces with Rod Wave on the Beautiful Minds tour, alongside Toosii.

Now, at the age of 26, the talented songstress presents her third studio album, “To Be Eaten Alive.” Notably, this marks her inaugural project with Epic Records, and she chose to celebrate this milestone by gifting fans with a collection of 10 tracks featuring guest appearances from Young Thug, 21 Savage, and Vory. The project is anchored by the singles “From A Woman” and “Bout Mine.”

Reflecting on her decision to join forces with Epic Records, Mariah shared her thoughts: “I was reluctant to sign a new deal… But I was excited to find a partner that understands me as an artist and has the infrastructure to support me in the ways I need most.”

Epic Records’ President, Ezekiel Lewis, also expressed his admiration for Mariah’s creative prowess: “Mariah is a dynamic creative force with a clear vision for her music and the experience surrounding it. She is well equipped to help lead R&B music into the future and we could not be more thrilled to be her partners on that journey.”
