Happy first Monday of the month. No lie, I hate Mondays in Corporate America. Attending a whole bunch of meetings that literally have nothing to do with you, but I guess that’s how things go. I was actually born on a Monday which is how #MassMondays became a thing, but anywho, here are three new artists whose music I happen to come across within the last week of January. I hope you enjoy their music as I much as I do.

If you would like to submit your music for #MASSMONDAYS, e-mail hello@miixtapechiick.com with Mass. Mondays in the subject line.

King Brickz has been on the scene for quite some time now and has already been seen linking up with legends like Jadakiss and Styles P. After dropping the official video to “Conversations” back in November, the DBO Gang Brickz rapper returns with the offering “Streets Watching” featuring Loopy Ferrell. Loopy Ferrell has been noted to have record with Benny The Butcher, G herbo and Asian Doll.

“Street Watching” lives on King Brickz’ 2021-project Still Authentic which features contributions from Cuzzy Capone, Big Body Benz, Scamma Bone, Blockstar Max, and Grimey Gurt.

Watch them “Streets Watching” below.

D’Gunna – W/ Quick story Pt.2

As always stated in this series, I love pain music. Pain music tells a story and you can learn so much about an artist on a record. Worcester native D’Gunna performed his record “W/ Quick story Pt.2” for Jetpack TV and it’s definitely my favorite record this week. From putting on for his daughters to riding for his peoples, D’Gunna keeps raw for his audience and is prevailing through the bullshit the best way he knows how.

Back in 2020, D’Gunna released his project ‘The Rebrand‘ featuring verses from Sav Cilantro, Hott Neek and Lil Boogz.

Watch him in “W/ Quick story Pt.2” below.

Zehailah – Welcome to the Party

So, this week I cheated and included Zehailah this week. Zehailah is from Rhode Island, but I just could’t leave her out . She recently teamed up with Martin Cruz for the official video of her latest single, ‘Welcome to the Party,’ produced by Injdwetrust. Serving as a follow-up to her summer single, “Magnum,” Zehailah’s latest offering features a sound that we have yet to hear in New England and it’s refreshing.
