Yes I know, it’s been awhile. But, it wouldn’t be me if I weren’t fashionably late. This #MASSMONDAYS will feature the latest from artists I’ve been listening to these last few months. No write-ups, just vibes. Check out who I’ve been listening to below.
SliccBae ft.Borirock – BabyRock
Discovering who she was during a Sir Clark D (now known as Clark D) show at Black Market Nubian over the summer, I was sooooo excited to stream music from SliccBae when I got home. Who other to collaborate with than BoriRock on her first official video, “BabyRock.”
Wave Capone – Trench Poetry
Earlier this month, Wave Capone released his brand new mixtape, Misunderstood. Y’all know my kind of music is pain music and Wave literally lets it all go on “Trench Poetry” which is more than likely why the record serves as the closing track on Misunderstood. The project features 12 tracks with a lone feature from $hayBand$.
BTL Flee – 4 A.M
With his project Life of A Bandit out now, BTL Flee returns with the official video to his latest offering, “4 A.M.” The record serves as a follow-up to his March release, “Pour Up Liquor.”
Clark D x Guyclaude – A Family Affair
Ahead of Thanksgiving, Clark D and Guyclaude unleashed their project, A Family Affair. Giving us 11 tracks, the two brothers tapped on the services of Seefour, Tamera King, Miranda Rae, Dos, Michael Christmas and Echezona. Released under their Finally Famous imprint, stream the collaborative project below.
#MASSMONDAYS: Feed The Family, 8 Zipp, B Blazo, Trottie Y Gizzle
Happy second Monday of 2022. I always say the first week of the New Year is a trial run and it’s really the second week where the grind starts. However, many artists have already begun marking their territory to kick off the first quarter.
FEED THE FAMILY dropped their first compilation project, while 8 Zipp, B Blazo and Trottie Y Gizzle make their respective returns. We love to see it!
Check out the first round of #MASSMONDAYS 2022 below.
8 Zipp – Blocked Call
If you know me personally, you know I’ve been waiting for new content from 8 Zipp for the longest and we finally got it. Being quiet for a little over a year, the rapper returns with his latest offering, “Blocked Call,” courtesy of JetpackTV.
FEED THE FAMILY – ‘CONVERSATIONS WITH THE PLUG’
Hooterville’s BoriRock, DunDealy, Shaykh Hanif and TOP HOOTER come together to deliver the 11-track effort, with production handled by Tremendiss. To set things off, the Hooterville conglomerate unleashes the official video to their record, ‘CONVERSATIONS WITH THE PLUG.’
I literally expected nothing less of amazing when I saw the cover art to FEED THE FAMILY. I have been under a rock the last few months so I didn’t see this project coming, but I’m glad it caught me by surprise. Stream the project here.
B Blazo – “Down Bad”
B Blazo is someone I’d like to hear more from in 2022. He released a few visuals in 2021 like “Kurt Cobain” and “Myself/Hate Love,” but it’d be dope to get a full project. In the meantime, he returns with his latest offering “Down Bad,” where he’s transparent about where’s his head been lately.
Trottie Y Gizzle Ft. TG Crippy – Jump Out Gang
Trottie Y Gizzle returns like he never left with his latest track, “Jump Out Gang.” Flipping Flo Rida‘s “Good Feeling” onto a drill beat with the help of TG Crippy, Y Gizzle is here to remind you that ain’t shit change – he still wants ALL the smoke and he’s tired of y’all 😂.
#MassMondays: Dun Dealy, Vanni Allan Poe, Tamera King, KMERC
Happy Monday! Can you believe there’s 19 days until Christmas? This week, there’s new music from Dun Dealy and Vanni Allan Poe, as well as Tamera King and KMERC, who are making their debut on miixtapechiick.com
Check out the new music for this week’s #MASSMONDAYS below.
Dun Dealy x Young Riot – 3AM In Dorchester
Freestyling over Drake‘s “7am On Bridle Path,” it’s evident that Dun Dealy and Young Riot have done their due diligence on “3AM In Dorchester.” This was my first time hearing about Young Riot and he definitely made a great first impression.
Vanni Allan Poe – For The Streets
It’s been a little while since we’ve heard from Vanni Allan Poe. Following the release of Make Love Not War, the rapper-singer returns with his latest offering, “For The Streets.” Taking a chapter out of Future‘s book, Vanni goes over all the reasons why he hasn’t chosen up.
Tamera King – Show Me Love
I don’t know much about Tamera King, but she certainly has some vocals on her! I see her ever so often on my timeline and found that I resonated with this record so of course I had to feature it! It’s also the perfect record for cuffing season.
KMERC – 44 Baby
Turning Gotye‘s “Somebody That I Used to Know” into a drill record is something I didn’t know I needed & who better to do it than KMERC. He doesn’t have much on Youtube, but the content that available is certainly worth listening to.
Album Stream: Cincinnati Rose – ‘BISMILLAH’
In celebration of his daughter’s birthday (July 26), Cincinnati Rose released his debut album, “BISMILLAH,” a term defined as “the Mohammedan way of saying grace” or “a phrase to mention Allah before beginning any action or speech.”
Supported by the previously released single “Mourn for Me,” BISMILLAH, executive produced by Rose’s daughter, Skylar Robin Roscoe, features 11 tracks with contributions from Mike Hiatus, Keem Leamour, Trevor Holmes, Lvcey, and Mizzo with production handled by a$tod, BamBamBeats, Fade Majah, OthelloBeats and XavianBeats.
BISMILLAH serves as a follow-up to Cincinnati Rose’s 2020-project, 4,5,6….EM!!, executive produced by OG.Domo. The project was backed by the records “Sleazy Thoughts” and “G-Code.”
