Meek Mill & G Herbo Link Up for “Survivor’s Guilt”

Published

on

After sliding on G Herbo’s Big Swerv 2.0 last year, Meek Mill just got the favor returned. The two connect on a new record called “Survivor’s Guilt” — and it’s exactly what the title says.

Philly and Chicago energy collide on a track that isn’t trying to impress the algorithm — it’s therapy in motion. Both artists tap into the weight that comes with making it out when so many around them didn’t. It’s pain, paranoia, reflection — no filter.

Meek opens with heavy bars: “I got more guns than my opps, I got more guns than a cop / In a mansion all alone but I got four guns in the spot…”

From trust issues to survivor’s remorse, he lays it all out. One line even calls back to the PnB Rock tragedy: “I been out LA with fifty shots ever since PnB.”

But it’s not just about trauma. Meek questions how he’s viewed now that he’s moving differently: “You don’t want me at the white party, what the f**k? you want me to kill n****s? / You don’t want me at the right party with the rich folks, bussin’ deals with them…”

It’s a reflection on growth — and the pressure to stay real in the eyes of people who only accept one version of you.

G Herbo keeps that same energy, opening up about numbing the pain with pills and carrying the weight of the lives his crew is still living. “My bitch trippin’, say she think I might OD off pills / How the f**k else I’m gon’ sleep? I been on thirty drills…”**

These aren’t just verses — they’re confessions from two artists who made it out, but didn’t walk away clean. “Survivor’s Guilt” is a reminder that elevation doesn’t erase everything that came before it — sometimes, it magnifies it.
