On Wednesday, Feb. 23, Tory Lanez made his way to the pre-trial hearing for the alleged shooting of Megan Thee Stallion that occurred in an SUV while in downtown L.A. on July 12, 2020.

Lanez was ordered to stand trial back in December after Judge Keith H. Borjon upheld the assault charges. Back in August, the Alone At Prom artist was also found in violation of the protection order issue when he appeared alongside DaBaby at Rolling Loud: Miami following Megan’s performance.

Ahead of the hearing, DJ Akademiks falsely tweeted that “it was revealed in court that Tory Lanez DNA WAS NOT found on the weapon.”

Following his report, Megan took to social media to debunk Akademiks claims, stating that he posted the information just minutes before the court had begun.

“Court aint even started so why yall ready to start lying,” she wrote. “I know some of yall blogs on payroll but please dont get sued trying to create a hate campaign. Be a real journalist and post FACTS. And to my haters.. keep making yourself look stupid idc.”

New York Post  reporter, Eileen Reslen, corroborated Megan’s claim, stating “Any reports of Tory Lanez’s DNA not being found on the weapon in the Megan Thee Stallion case are FALSE.”

The pre-trial hearing has been postponed until April 5.
