Four in Roman Numerals is “IV” –but “IV Real” by K.O.D. and Ora Slick is really focused on another meaning of IV. The Ehanyes-produced song–over melancholic trap and echoing sirens–is an injection of real, mainlined with sickening accuracy. K.O.D. plays the manic dope dealer–washing down paranoia with brown liquor while his voice cracks between anger and pain. Ora Slick is the foil–providing concise raps with enough slickness to warrant the name.
