Milagro Cooper’s Local Counsel Withdraws From Megan Thee Stallion Defamation Case Over Unpaid Fees

Milagro Cooper’s Local Counsel Withdraws From Megan Thee Stallion Defamation Case Over Unpaid Fees miixtapechiick

Michael A. Pancier, local counsel for Milagro Elizabeth Cooper in Megan Thee Stallion’s ongoing defamation case, has formally withdrawn from the matter, citing lack of compensation and irreconcilable differences with Cooper and her lead legal team, Unite the People, Inc.

In court documents filed Wednesday, Pancier stated that Cooper and her lead attorney, Michael Hayden, failed to meet their financial obligations, making continued representation “unreasonably difficult” and a burden. “Given the irreconcilable differences which have arisen between undersigned counsel and Defendant and Unite the People, Inc., sufficient good cause exists to permit the withdrawal,” Pancier wrote in the unopposed motion.

Judge Cecilia Altonaga granted the motion later that day, relieving Pancier of all obligations and giving Cooper until May 23 to secure new local counsel. She also ordered that all filings and communications continue through Hayden and that Cooper be notified of the withdrawal by May 16.

Cooper, a blogger known as Milagro Gramz, is accused by Megan—born Megan Pete—of defamation, emotional distress, and promoting deepfake pornography. Megan’s team has alleged that Cooper acted as a “paid surrogate” for Tory Lanez, who was convicted in 2022 for the July 2020 shooting that left Megan injured. Lanez is serving a 10-year sentence.

In February, Judge Altonaga denied Cooper’s motion to dismiss, stating that the claims show more than negligence and “paint a picture of an intentional campaign to destroy [Megan’s] reputation.”

On April 18, Lanez was ordered to explain his conduct during a deposition tied to the civil case, which Megan’s attorneys described as disruptive and mocking. His criminal appeal lawyers stated they are not involved in the civil matter and would not oppose a contempt finding.

The motion to withdraw comes one day after Unite the People, the nonprofit currently representing Cooper, held a press conference in downtown Los Angeles advocating for a full review of Lanez’s conviction. Political commentator Gianno Caldwell, who is leading a petition for clemency, said Lanez “was never given a fair trial, free from bias, political interference and media-driven pressure.”

Attorney Walter Roberts, also speaking at the event, reiterated the defense’s position that Lanez—born Daystar Peterson—did not fire the weapon. “Mr. Peterson never shot anybody. Never even touched them. He never fired the gun,” Roberts said, instead pointing to Megan’s former friend Kelsey Harris as the shooter. Roberts cited trial testimony from witness Sean Kelly, who described seeing two women in a physical altercation before the shots were fired.

“There were three potential suspects in the car that night,” Roberts added. “Yet only Mr. Peterson’s DNA was tested. Unknown DNA was also found on the firearm.”

Lanez is currently recovering from a stabbing earlier this week inside California Correctional Institution in Tehachapi. His father, Sonstar Peterson, said Lanez suffered collapsed lungs and was airlifted to a hospital in Bakersfield. “He could hardly speak,” he said. “Thankfully, to God be the glory, he was airlifted.”

Lanez remains eligible for parole in 2029. No further comment has been made by California Gov. Gavin Newsom or the Department of Corrections regarding a potential review.

D. Woods Responds After Three Danity Kane Members Say June 20 LA Block Party Booking Was Made Without Their Consent miixtapechiick

D. Woods took to her Instagram Stories to address the controversy surrounding a June 20 Danity Kane appearance at the LA Block Party in Los Angeles, confirming she and Aundrea Fimbres plan to perform at the event. “5,4,3,2, & even 1 — there have been many versions and configurations of Danity Kane. But our fans have always been constant,” she wrote. “Drea & D. Woods thank you for ‘Holding Us Down’ and are looking forward to GOING UP at @lablockparty June 20th. Let’s start the summer off right and continue our 20th Anniversary with a celebration of the music we all love.”

As previously reported by miixtapechiick.com, Danity Kane’s official page issued a statement saying the booking was made by only two members without the knowledge or consent of Dawn Richard, Aubrey O’Day, or Shannon Bex. “This promotion constitutes false advertising and a misleading promotion, creating a false impression of full group participation,” the statement read. “Presenting a two-member lineup under the full Danity Kane name without clear and accurate disclosure results in deception of fans and a clear misrepresentation of what is being offered.”

The June 20 appearance is billed as part of the group’s 20th anniversary. Danity Kane’s Untold Chapter Tour, which ran from December 2025 through January 2026, also featured D. Woods and Fimbres alongside Aubrey O’Day, without Richard or Bex.

Dawn Richard, Aubrey O’Day, and Shannon Bex are calling out a flyer promoting Danity Kane at the LA Block Party at Pershing Square in Los Angeles on June 20, saying they were not informed about the appearance and will not be there.

A statement posted to Danity Kane’s official page confirmed that only two members independently booked the show without the others’ consent. “This promotion constitutes false advertising and a misleading promotion, creating a false impression of full group participation,” the statement read. “Presenting a two-member lineup under the full Danity Kane name without clear and accurate disclosure results in deception of fans and a clear misrepresentation of what is being offered.”

The flyer was posted by the danitykaneontour Instagram account, which wrote “Kicking off this summer with @lablockparty bringing yall back to 20 years ago!”

The situation comes amid an already divided chapter for the group. Danity Kane’s Untold Chapter Tour ran from December 9 through January 2026 and featured Aubrey O’Day, Aundrea Fimbres, and D. Woods, a lineup that did not include the full original group. Dawn Richard said she was not aware of the reunion, and Shannon Bex has been open about stepping away from music to focus on entrepreneurship. Woods, who had not performed with the group since her exit in 2008, addressed her return directly. “The Untold Chapter Starts Now. Ya Girl Is Back and rewriting OUR story,” she wrote.

Ice Spice and Woman Throw Hands at Hollywood McDonald's miixtapechiick

Ice Spice threw hands with a woman at a McDonald’s in Hollywood on Wednesday, April 15, and the whole thing was caught on camera.

In footage obtained by TMZ, Ice Spice was at the restaurant with a friend when a woman approached their table uninvited and tried to squeeze in next to them. When Ice Spice and her friend asked her to leave, the woman slapped her. A brief scuffle followed before the woman’s friend pulled her away.

It didn’t end there. A second clip filmed outside shows the woman throwing another punch at Ice Spice while the group was crossing the street, leading to another scuffle. Video also shows Ice Spice picking up a phone from the ground belonging to someone in the other group, which she allegedly smashed.

The woman, identified as Vayah, gave her own account, claiming Ice Spice was rude when she approached to show support and that she slapped her after being called a “bitch.”

Ice Spice’s attorney Bradford Cohen said the incident has been reported to the LAPD. “The unprovoked attack on my client has been reported to the LAPD and we will be pursuing any and all avenues to hold the perpetrators responsible for their actions, including criminally and civilly,” Cohen said. “We are also exploring holding the location responsible for their lack of appropriate security.”

As previously reported by miixtapechiick.com, Ice Spice is currently being sued by a New York wig maker over an unpaid $20,000 order for her 2024 Y2K tour.
