Minnesota Governor Declares August 8th ‘Beyoncé And Jay-Z Day’

As Beyoncé and Jay-Z currently make their way to the U.S. Bank Stadium to perform another show as part of their ‘On The Run II’ tour, Governor Dayton Minnesota has officially declared August 8th, ‘Beyoncé And Jay-Z Day.’ Just marking two years since he proclaimed May 23rd officially as “Beyoncé Day” in the democratic state, Dayton shared an official statement that all fans can certainly agree with.

“Beyoncé and Jay-Z have taken home numerous awards from platforms such as the Grammy Awards, MTV Video Music Awards, BET Awards, American Music Awards, Billboard Music Awards, and NAACP Image Awards, among others and have sold millions of records worldwide,” said Governor Dayton during the official proclamation.

“Through their lives and music, Beyoncé and Jay-Z have inspired Minnesotans, and music fans around the world.”

Beyoncé and Jay-Z are currently embarking on a 36-city North American leg of their ‘On The Run II’ tour just a month after releasing their joing album, EVERYTHINGISLOVE.
