Chance the Rapper and Vic Mensa have recently teamed up for a new single titled ‘Wraith.’ Paired with producers Smoko Ono, Dominique Sanders, and Beat Butcha, the artists deliver a mellow track with quote-worthy verses.

‘Over they head like a shot with a drone
Securus calls puttin’ money on phone
Mom ask me when I’m coming back home
I said I’d be down, a benefit to you to have me around’

Catch their music video below! With intentional simplicity, Chance rightfully emphasizes his pen with the hope of giving ‘a little more of ‘The Rapper’ and [letting] people get what they’re coming for, which is my words.”

Of course, this isn’t their first collab as they have worked together to create ‘Shelter,’ ‘Taxi Cab,’ ‘Cocoa Butter Kisses‘ (of course) and many more records. In the same statement to Complex, Mensa mentions that he and Chance have a lot more in the works.

This marks Chance’s third writing exercise. His previous exercise, which he released at the top of April, prompts a pen from his ‘most creative self.’ He proves to be a man of his word as he pieces together creative tellings of what it’s like as a fresh prince: ‘heavy the crown but steady the vision.’

Chance also seems to be on a roll as he recently took to Instagram to tease a new music video that he’d been working on.

As for Mensa, he just released a track called ‘Just The Same’ in collaboration with Big Gigantic and Mick Jenkins as well as a four-part Valentine special called ‘Vino Valentino.’

With this kind of quality both individually and collectively, hopefully, the two will continue to build the momentum! Stream ‘Wraith‘ here!
