Some may not know who Smiley is, but possibly remember a clip of Drake in his pool rapping to his “Intro.” Smiley, a 23-year-old Toronto rapper, was considered as Drake’s inspiration while recording Scorpion.

“Thank you to all the artists that inspired me on the studio drives,” he wrote on his Instagram Story. The project he was referring to was Smiley’s Buy.or.Buy EP.

This time around, Drake joins Smiley on his latest offering, “Over The Top.” Produced by Tay Keith, the record serves as a follow-up to Drake’s feature on Brent FaiyazWasting Time,” produced by The Neptunes. Prior to “Wasting Time,” Drake lent a verse to Nicki Minaj, alongside Lil Wayne on “Seeing Green.”
