Nicki Minaj and Husband Kenneth Petty Have Been Sued by Sexual Assault Victim
Nicki Minaj and her husband, Kenneth Petty, have been sued by the woman who Petty was convicted of attempting to rape back in 1995.
Jennifer Hough, the victim of the 1994 lawsuit, filed a new lawsuit with the U.S. District Court in Eastern New York that alleges that both Minaj, born Onika Tanya Maraj, and Petty are intentionally inflicting emotional distress upon Hough, harassing her, as well as witness intimidation “to recant her legitimate claim that Defendant Petty raped her.”
In 1995, Petty was convicted of attempting to rape Hough when she was 16 with a knife. Petty took a plea deal and served four-and-a-half years in prison and was to register as a sex offender.
Petty ran into trouble last March when it was discovered that he did not register as a sex offender in the state of California, since his move in 2019.
According to legal documents obtained by TMZ, the 1994 lawsuit has been outlined in this new lawsuit, as the plaintiff, Hough, has accused Minaj and Petty of directly and indirectly harassing her and has also threatened her to not speak about the incident. Over the last year, Minaj has allegedly been trying to come to an agreement with Hough, through a mutual friend named Black, who reportedly served as a liaison between the two women through phone calls.
Legal docs state that “During the call, Defendant Minaj stated that she heard Plaintiff was willing to ‘help out’ their situation and stated that she would fly Plaintiff and her family to Los Angeles. Plaintiff declined this offer.”
The lawsuit continues to state that “Defendant Minaj then stated that she would send her publicist to meet with Plaintiff to craft a statement recanting Plaintiff’s rape charge. Plaintiff denied this offer as well. Before they got off the phone, Plaintiff said to Defendant Minaj, ‘I need you to know woman to woman, that this happened.’ Defendant Minaj hung up the phone.”
In addition, the lawsuit states “Within days of this conversation, Plaintiff and her family suffered an onslaught of harassing calls and unsolicited visits.”
Hough also refused $500,000.00 from Minaj, who stated that it would be given to her if she wrote a letter recanting her rape claim against Petty. Minaj sent legal counsel to Hough’s home as well to help her write the statement. Hough reportedly began to panic because Black (and now Minaj) knew where she lived and what her family looked like. Hough outlines in the lawsuit that she began receiving numerous amounts of threats forcing her to move from Atlanta to Florida. Hough says she continues to live in fear.
“Plaintiff has not worked since May of 2020 due to severe depression, paranoia, constant moving, harassment, and threats from the Defendants and their associates. She is currently living in isolation out of fear of retaliation,” the lawsuit reads.
Minaj’s former Apple Music radio show, Queen Radio, was also mentioned in the lawsuit, as it states that Minaj tried to minimize the severity of Petty’s 1994 rape case where she stated that the plaintiff (Hough) had tried to recant the rape claim.
“He was 15, she was 16… in a relationship. But go awf Internet,” she told fans on a 2019 episode of Queen Radio.” You’ve gotta cover your husband in prayer.” She then told fans that Hough falsely accused Petty of rape and wrote a letter to recant the claims. Hough has since denied this.

D. Woods Responds After Three Danity Kane Members Say June 20 LA Block Party Booking Was Made Without Their Consent
D. Woods took to her Instagram Stories to address the controversy surrounding a June 20 Danity Kane appearance at the LA Block Party in Los Angeles, confirming she and Aundrea Fimbres plan to perform at the event. “5,4,3,2, & even 1 — there have been many versions and configurations of Danity Kane. But our fans have always been constant,” she wrote. “Drea & D. Woods thank you for ‘Holding Us Down’ and are looking forward to GOING UP at @lablockparty June 20th. Let’s start the summer off right and continue our 20th Anniversary with a celebration of the music we all love.”
As previously reported by miixtapechiick.com, Danity Kane’s official page issued a statement saying the booking was made by only two members without the knowledge or consent of Dawn Richard, Aubrey O’Day, or Shannon Bex. “This promotion constitutes false advertising and a misleading promotion, creating a false impression of full group participation,” the statement read. “Presenting a two-member lineup under the full Danity Kane name without clear and accurate disclosure results in deception of fans and a clear misrepresentation of what is being offered.”
The June 20 appearance is billed as part of the group’s 20th anniversary. Danity Kane’s Untold Chapter Tour, which ran from December 2025 through January 2026, also featured D. Woods and Fimbres alongside Aubrey O’Day, without Richard or Bex.

Three Members of Danity Kane Say Two Others Booked a June 20 Show Without Their Knowledge
Dawn Richard, Aubrey O’Day, and Shannon Bex are calling out a flyer promoting Danity Kane at the LA Block Party at Pershing Square in Los Angeles on June 20, saying they were not informed about the appearance and will not be there.
A statement posted to Danity Kane’s official page confirmed that only two members independently booked the show without the others’ consent. “This promotion constitutes false advertising and a misleading promotion, creating a false impression of full group participation,” the statement read. “Presenting a two-member lineup under the full Danity Kane name without clear and accurate disclosure results in deception of fans and a clear misrepresentation of what is being offered.”

The flyer was posted by the danitykaneontour Instagram account, which wrote “Kicking off this summer with @lablockparty bringing yall back to 20 years ago!”
The situation comes amid an already divided chapter for the group. Danity Kane’s Untold Chapter Tour ran from December 9 through January 2026 and featured Aubrey O’Day, Aundrea Fimbres, and D. Woods, a lineup that did not include the full original group. Dawn Richard said she was not aware of the reunion, and Shannon Bex has been open about stepping away from music to focus on entrepreneurship. Woods, who had not performed with the group since her exit in 2008, addressed her return directly. “The Untold Chapter Starts Now. Ya Girl Is Back and rewriting OUR story,” she wrote.

It didn’t end there. A second clip filmed outside shows the woman throwing another punch at Ice Spice while the group was crossing the street, leading to another scuffle. Video also shows Ice Spice picking up a phone from the ground belonging to someone in the other group, which she allegedly smashed.
The woman, identified as Vayah, gave her own account, claiming Ice Spice was rude when she approached to show support and that she slapped her after being called a “bitch.”
Ice Spice’s attorney Bradford Cohen said the incident has been reported to the LAPD. “The unprovoked attack on my client has been reported to the LAPD and we will be pursuing any and all avenues to hold the perpetrators responsible for their actions, including criminally and civilly,” Cohen said. “We are also exploring holding the location responsible for their lack of appropriate security.”
As previously reported by miixtapechiick.com, Ice Spice is currently being sued by a New York wig maker over an unpaid $20,000 order for her 2024 Y2K tour.
