Normani & 6LACK – ‘Waves’

Published

Fifth Harmony vocalist Normani started the year off with a bang after collaborating with Khalid on their Billboard top 10 single, “Love Lies.” Racking up more than 450 million streams on Spotify, Normani recently collaborated with Calvin Harris on “Checklist” and “Slow Down.”

As she continues to work on her debut album, the songstress decided to team up with Atlanta artist 6LACK on her new offering, “Waves.” Torn between herself and her relationship, Normani goes through the motions with 6LACK.

“First I blame you, then I want you / Fuckin’ hate you, then I love you / I can’t help myself, no.” she sings.

In an interview with Zane Lowe, Normani talked about working with the East Atlanta Love Letter singer: “I admire him as an artist, and he’s just amazing. He’s an amazing lyricist, and I feel like he took the record to a whole other level. I already love the record as is, but he totally exceeded any expectation I even had, which was pretty high, because I admire him as an artist.”
