Pop Smoke Dies At 20-Years-Old Following A Home Invasion

Brooklyn rapper Pop Smoke has reportedly died after a home invasion, TMZ has learned.

Born Bashar Barakah Jackson, the 20-year-old artist was fatally shot in Hollywood Hills, Calif. following a home invasion where two men broke inside the home and fatally shot the Welcome to the Woo rapper at around 4:30 a.m. Following the shooting, the two men fled on foot.

The Los Angeles Police Department confirmed to the Daily News that a 20-year-old was indeed shot by two masked men. Pop Smoke was taken to Ceders-Sinai Medical Center in West Hollywood where he was pronounced dead.

Pop Smoke rose to fame after the release of his 2019 single, “Welcome to the Party” followed by his projects, Meet the Woo and his Welcome to the Woo, Vol. 1 LP. Last week, Pop Smoke released his sophomore effort, Meet the Woo 2 which featured contributions from Quavo, Fivio Foreign, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, and more.
