Normally, artists appear on the Stephen Colbert show for a late night performance but last night, G.O.O.D. Music president Pusha T sat down for an interview with Colbert alongside actress Mary-Louise Parker. With this being the first interview between Stephen Colbert and King Push, the two talked about how the beat for “Grindin” came about and how Pharrell almost gave the beat to Jay-Z, his involvement in McDonald’s “I’m Lovin’ It” jingle with Justin Timberlake and endorsing Hillary Clinton.

With the election coming up in just a few weeks, Pusha T talked about meeting Hillary Clinton via Facetime and his issues with the incarceration rates in the U.S., saying, “I feel like that’s the most important issue tearing apart our community right now.”
