Rappers Tell Their Story on The New Netflix Docu-series ‘Rapture’
Back in January, it was announced that Netflix would be bringing a new hip-hop docu-series to the screen.
Titled Rapture, the forthcoming series produced by Mass Appeal and shot by Sacha Jenkins, will capture the perspectives of several rappers including Nas, Dave East, T.I., Just Blaze, and more.
“It is a great honor for Mass Appeal to work with Netflix to produce our new series Rapture, said Jenkins in a press release. We’ve been telling hip-hop hop stories since ’96, and as natives we feel it is our duty to do the movement justice. Rapture is bangin’. Straight up.”
The first episode will feature T.I. who gives us “his perspective on his craft, and introduces his fans to how he has been motivated to use his influence to make a positive change for all,” according to the trailer description.
