Rihanna and Kim Kardashian Speak On Behalf of Sex Trafficking Victim, Cyntoia Brown

This week, the heartbreaking story of sex trafficking victim, Cyntoia Brown, went viral after the now 29-year-old was sentenced to life in prison following the death of her pimp, Cut Throat.

For those who are a little late, Cyntoia Brown, was sold to a 43-year-old child predator by the name of Cut Throat at the age of 16. The Nashville, TN. native was drugged and raped repeatedly by multiple men until she shot her pimp, Cut Throat, in the head with a .40-calibre handgun that he had given her for protection.

In 2004, Cyntoia was tried as an adult and pleaded self-defense. However, she was found guilty of first-degree premeditated murder, first-degree felony murder, and aggravated robbery. She will not be eligible for parole until the age of 67.

Cyntoia’s case has recently gone viral and has caught the eyes of many, including, Rihanna and Kim Kardashian. The two celebrities took to social media their outcry on this matter, in hopes of raising awareness about the situation and getting justice for Cyntoia’s unjust sentence.
