Rita Ora x ELLE Canada Magazine
Rita Ora debuted her cute and fun new pixie cut for none other than the cover of ELLE Canada Magazine. The cover fit featured a casual chic green almost abstract patterned two piece crop top and skirt, accessorized by a glass see-through choker necklace and a multi-color heart piece on the center!
For those of you who don’t know, Rita has been extremely busy in the past five years. She has really made a name for herself in the fashion world by working for labels like DKNY, Calvin Klein, Adidas, and now Rimmel London in which she will launch her second nail collection with the brand this past fall! According to ELLE Canada “She has also dabbled in TV and movies: Last year, she was a judge on The X Factor, and she played Christian Grey’s little sister, Mia, in Fifty Shades of Grey.” Please feel free to checkout her interview with ELLE Canada here.
We commend superwoman Ora here at miixtapechick for the hard work she’s done and wish her nothing but the best!

Nicki Minaj Talks New Album, Sacrifice & Still Being Hungry in Vogue Italia Interview
Nicki Minaj is taking her time. In a new cover story with Vogue Italia, the rap icon gave an update on her next album, sharing that she’s sitting on “a bunch of really strong tracks” but isn’t in a rush to release them.
“I want the record to mean something, both for the fans and for me,” she said. “I’ll never be one of those people who puts out songs just to put them out. I love music. I respect it.”
While there’s no word yet on a release date or features, Nicki did name a few rising artists she’s currently tapped into. “Sabrina Carpenter… a breath of fresh air,” she said. “I like Billie Eilish. I love everything she does. Then there’s a dancehall artist… his name’s Skeng.”
In addition to music, Nicki also reflected on what she’s sacrificed to reach this level of success. “As a woman, I put off becoming a mother,” she shared. “I didn’t go to every Thanksgiving, Christmas, or birthday party because I had to work to support my family.” She added that while she’s now able to give her son a life she didn’t have, she still grapples with choices like whether to take him outside at the risk of being photographed.
The Pink Friday 2 artist, who recently launched her own label and has ventured into everything from fashion collabs to perfume, says she still feels the same drive she did as a kid. “I had to earn everything. I had nothing and I wanted it more than the others,” she said.
And while she acknowledges the industry has shifted with the rise of social media and overnight fame, Nicki is staying focused. “A superstar is a superstar,” she said. “And if you are, you’ll find a way to shine—with or without social media.”

Check Out A Behind Scenes Look of Beyoncé’s VOGUE September Cover
Earlier last week, Beyoncé unleashed the official September Issue of Vogue. Gracing the cover of the fall issue, the cover story features Beyoncé’s own words and was shot by 23-year-old Tyler Mitchell, making him the first African American photographer to shoot a cover story spread in the 126-year history of the magazine.
Vogue gave us an exclusive behind the scenes look of what went on when shooting the magazine’s cover and photoshoot. Throughout the video we get a sneak peek of Beyoncé’s twins Rumi and Sir Carter, as well as their big sister, Blue Ivy. Though there is no dialogue, Curtis Mayfield’s “The Makings Of You” is rather fitting for the occasion.
