OTF affiliate RondoNumbaNine, real name Clint Massey, was sentenced today for the 2014 murder of delivery driver, Javan Boyd. Along with Savage Squad Records/OTF affiliate Cdai, real name Courtney Early, the two were sentenced during a hearing today (7/5) by Judge Vincent Gaughan, according to the Cook County state’s attorney’s office. The two were previously convicted of first-degree murder. RondoNumbaNine was sentenced to 39 years in prison, while Cdai was sentenced to 38 years.

On February 22, 2014, RondoNumbaNine and Cdai were allegedly a part of a three-car entourage that drove around Wentworth Gardens looking to retaliate for an earlier shooting, according to prosecutors. Captured on Chicago Housing Authority video surveillance, Massey and Early approached Boyd in the car, while he was waiting for a passenger. When the two men questioned if Boyd was from the neighborhood, he replied, “Yes,” and multiple shots were fired into the vehicle.

Boyd was pronounced dead two hours after being taken to the hospital.
