Sheff G and Sleepy Hallow Among 32 Alleged Gang Members Arrested In 140-Count Indictment

Sheff G and Sleepy Hallow are among 32 alleged gang members charged in a 140-count indictment that was announced on Tuesday, May 16. 

According to the Brooklyn District Attorney Eric Gonzalez, Sheff G born Michael Williams, is accused of using “the earnings from his music career to fuel gun violence in Brooklyn, by offering money and giving expensive jewelry to those who commit acts of violence.”

“Instead of using his fame and his fortune for the betterment of himself and his family and those close to him, we allege that he used that fame and fortune to elevate gang violence in Brooklyn,” he continued.

The 140-count indictment accuses the alleged gang members of the 8 Trey Crips and affiliate gang the 9 Ways of allegedly committing shootings, possessing guns, and using stolen cars during shootings, to eliminate rivals that included members of Folk Nation Gangster Disciples and ICG Babiiez.

Shortly after news hit about the indictment, Sleepy Hallow took to Instagram Stories to proclaim his innocence alongside Sheff G. “Don’t believe the internet,” he wrote. “We innocent.”

The press release by the Brooklyn District Attorney’s office continues, stating that Sheff G’s involvement “went beyond merely offering money to commit acts of violence. It is alleged that in one shooting incident Williams coordinated a group of three shooters, drove those shooters to the crime scene, and then acted as the getaway driver.”

DaniLeigh Arrested for DUI and Hit and Run

DaniLeigh was reportedly arrested on Tuesday, after driving under the influence in Miami Beach.

According to TMZ, the “Easy” singer was seen by several witness swerving in and out of lanes near Miami Beach before hitting the alleged victim who was riding on a moped. She dragged the moped for a block before a bystander flagged a nearby officer down who stopped DaniLeigh.

The responding officer noted in their the report that the multi-hyphenated artist smelled of alcohol and conducted field sobriety tests, in which she field. She was also subjected to a Breathalyzer test where she blew a 0.145 and 0.148, nearly twice the legal limit. 

DaniLeigh was arrested and booked on three felony charges including driving under the influence, leaving the scene of a crash with serious bodily injury, and DUI damage to property.

As for the victim of the crash, he was taken to a nearby hospital where he suffered a kidney laceration and a spinal fracture.

Back in November 2021, that DaniLeigh was charged with simple assault after getting into a physical altercation with the father of her child, DaBaby.

Fetty Wap Sentenced To 6 Years In Prison For Drug Trafficking

Last week, Fetty Wap’s legal team asked Judge Joanna Seybert for their client to serve the minimum of five years after the New Jersey rapper pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to possess and distribute 500 grams or more of cocaine following his October 2021 arrest, while en route to his Rolling Loud: New York.

Fetty Wap’s legal team told Billboard that he “began to struggle to keep up the lifestyle that he created for so many.”

“[Maxwell’s] judgment became impaired. Desperate to keep up with his financial obligations, Mr. Maxwell became involved in the instant offense for a few months in the spring of 2020.”

As a result, the “Trap Queen” rapper was sentenced to six years in prison and five years of post-release supervision for conspiracy to distribute cocaine . Prosecutors were reportedly pushing for more, stating the lyrics of “Trap Queen” were related to his history of drug dealing.

Prosecutors also argued that Fetty Wap allegedly admitted to a probation officer that his 2015 song “Trap Queen” was an “ode to a former girlfriend who assisted him in a cocaine base distribution operation in Patterson, New Jersey.”

Moneybagg Yo has announced that he will be releasing two new projects.

The first one is a mixtape Hard to Love is scheduled to drop on June 2nd. In a personal letter to fans posted on Instagram, Moneybagg Yo explained what’s being going on these last two years stating, “I gained and lost more than I ever thought I would and had no other safe outlet for all the emotions and dark thoughts that came wit that other than making music.”

Hard To Love is scheduled to drop via CMG/N-Less/Interscope Records and will serve as the follow up to  his 2021 project, A Gangsta’s Pain.
