Swizz Beatz – It’s Okayyy
It’s been 8 years since we’ve heard a solo effort from hit-producer, Swizz Beatz. Calling on the productions services of Avenue, Swizzy returns with a brand new single titled, ” It’s Okayyy.” The record is set to appear on the Brooklyn native’s forthcoming LP, Poison. Scheduled for a July 20th release via Epic Records, Poison will serve as a follow up to Swizz Beatz’s 2010 album, One Man Band Man.
“I feel like I took all of the hits off the album,” he told Peter Rosenberg on “Open Late.” “I realized that everybody’s going for the three-pointer instead of just the layup that’s just dope, and it gets you to the destination and it wins the game. I wanted something to really happen and I wanted to ignite some fire. It took a lot of discipline to take records off that I took off. On this particular album, I have a focus.”
