Earlier this week, SZA teased fans with a tweet stating she was thinking about dropping five unreleased songs in celebration of her debut album’s fifth anniversary (June 9).

Keeping her promise, SZA returns with the deluxe edition of her 2017 album Ctrl with five new tracks on the album’s anniversary. The 5 tracks include the previously released SoundCloud record, “2AM” which is a remix of PARTYNEXTDOOR‘s “Come and See Me,” the Tyler, The Creator-produced “Jodie,” “Miles” and an alternate version of “Love Galore.” The project also featured the never-before-heard track, “Perculator.”

All five tracks were recorded between 2014 and 2017.

According to ChartData, Ctrl has never left the Billboard Charts since its debut in 2017.

The album peaked at no. 3 on the Billboard 200 and is certified double platinum.

SZA told Vogue on the red carpet of the 2022 Met Gala in New York City that her new album was on the way. “My album’s, like, finally ready to go, more than I’ve ever felt before,” she said. “So this summer will be a SZA Summer.”

Her new album will be supported by the previously released singles “Hit Different” featuring Ty Dolla $ign and The Neptunes, “Good Days” and “I Hate U.”
